Head of Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Narayanpur — a branch centre of Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math. Since the centre was established in 1985, the Secretary has provided overall administration of education, healthcare, vocational training, and tribal welfare across Narayanpur and the Abujhmarh region. The Ashrama guides Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Mahavidyalaya, Vivekananda Vidyapeeth, the ITI, and allied service units under one spiritual and institutional framework.

The work of the Mission in Abujhmarh is service to God in man. Through education, healthcare, and vocational training we seek to awaken the inherent strength of our tribal brothers and sisters — in the spirit of Swami Vivekananda's ideal of man-making education.

Dr. Atanendu Sekhar Mandal

Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Mahavidyalaya, Narayanpur

Academic head of undergraduate (FYUGP) programmes affiliated to Shaheed Mahendra Karma Vishwavidyalaya (Bastar University) under NEP 2020. The Principal oversees teaching and learning, faculty coordination, examination liaison with the university, student welfare, and day-to-day academic administration of the Mahavidyalaya. Dr. Mandal holds a B.Tech from IIT Kanpur and M.Tech & Ph.D. from IIT Delhi, with decades of research and leadership experience at CSIR-CEERI and IIT Delhi before joining the college.

Our Mahavidyalaya combines rigorous academics with value-based education. Students are encouraged to develop character, competence, and compassion — qualities essential for serving society, especially the tribal communities of Bastar.
